Polymarket, allows users to wager cryptocurrency on the likelihood of real-world events. This has sparked concerns that such platforms could enable insiders with confidential or classified information to exploit their knowledge for profit.
Earlier in December, President Trump stated that Maduro’s days were “numbered,” though he did not provide specifics. The situation has raised questions about the potential misuse of prediction markets.
