Police respond to domestic violence call near downtown Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. – A significant police presence, including several patrol cars and a SWAT vehicle, was observed near downtown Spokane on Friday night.

Captain Traci Meidl of the Spokane Police Department reported that officers were responding to a violation of a domestic violence protection order. The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m. on the 2100 block of West Riverside Avenue.

Officers questioned a woman involved in the incident and are actively searching for a suspect.
