
MILLWOOD, Wash. — Deputies with the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) and Spokane Valley Police captured a prolific criminal accused of breaking into a business in Millwood yesterday.
A business owner reported seeing an unknown male trying to break into the business in the 9200 block of E. Trent Avenue through a window on security video, SCSO said in a release.
Upon arrival, investigators said the suspect tried to flee on foot but was eventually captured in a nearby parking lot.
A criminal history check revealed the suspect who police identified, Lawrence D. Jones, 48, had over 50 arrests with multiple misdemeanor and felony convictions, including theft and resisting arrest, SCSO said.
Jones was booked into Spokane County Jail for Burglary 2nd Degree, Malicious Mischief 3rd Degree, and Obstructing.
The business owner estimated the damage to the window at around $300.
