Police arrest Post Falls man after barricading himself in home

POST FALLS, Idaho – Post Falls Police responded to a residence on Riverside Harbor Drive on Friday, to enforce a protection order.

When officers attempted to remove 28-year-old Benjamin Turpin from the home, he ran inside and barricaded himself. This action prompted the police to seek an arrest warrant for resisting or obstructing a peace officer.

After obtaining the warrant, the Post Falls Police Special Response Team (SRT) entered the house. Turpin was located on the upper floors and was taken into custody.

He was booked into Kootenai County Jail on the warrant.
