Patriotic skeletons take over Wisconsin lawn for early July 4th celebration

WISCONSIN – Jimmy Zamzow’s lawn has once again transformed into a festive spectacle with his annual Halloween display, celebrating America’s upcoming 250th birthday.

This marks the 26th year of Zamzow’s renowned Holy Hill Skeleton display, which this year features patriotic skeletons styled as Uncle Sam and Evil Knievel. The display has become a beloved tradition in the community.

Zamzow shared that the display’s popularity has even led a friend to request hosting their wedding there.

“The kids liked it so much I just decided to keep bringing that one back every year and I just keep adding to the skeletons for that one,” Zamzow said.

He explained the early setup, saying, “The skeletons were just dying to get out here and we decided to do it early because we figured by next fall everybody’s gonna be pretty much done partying for the 250th.”

A unique feature of the display is a rainbow bridge, which Zamzow builds to honor the passing of beloved pets.

Over the years, Zamzow has showcased various themes, including a 40th high school reunion, a tour disco, and surfing skeletons.

The display will be up through the first weekend of November.
