OROFINO, Idaho – A man has been arrested for impersonating a peace officer in Clearwater County.
The Orofino Police Department had warned the public on May 23 about a man driving a tan-colored sedan and pretending to be a peace officer. Residents were advised not to pull over for this vehicle and to contact authorities instead.
After an investigation, police identified the suspect as T.J. Flinn, 48, of Orofino. He was taken into custody on Monday morning.
Flinn is facing charges of impersonating a peace officer and disturbing the peace.
“We want to thank the public for their patience in this matter,” Orofino police stated.
