The Ferry County Sheriff’s Office said nothing suspicious was found at the Curlew School.
The sheriff’s office thanked U.S. Border Patrol for responding and “assistance in keeping our children safe.” It also thanked parents for responding calmly and orderly.
The sheriff’s office said the threat was likely a part of a “multi-school false threat” that was reported across Washington state.
CURLEW, Wash. – The Ferry County deputies are at the Curlew School responding to they said was “an unverified, likely fraudulent, threat made against the school.”
The Ferry County Sheriff’s Office said the Curlew School decided to end the school day “out of an abundance of caution” and was in the midst of dismissing students.
