In total, 100,00 acres are included in the regional fires, according to the center.

Ten of the fires in Washington were started by lightning.

The largest fire in the region is the 30,500-acre Emigrant Fire in western Oregon. The second largest fire in the region is the 23,000-acre Flat Fire in central Oregon.

The largest fire in Washington alone is the 11,50-acre Crown Creek Fire.

3,649 firefighters are currently active in the Northwest with 188 engines and 26 helicopters.

The weekend is forecasted to see thunderstorms throughout the Northwest before cooler and wetter conditions arrive.

“As wildfire season continues, please stay alert and follow local fire restrictions. Every action counts in reducing human-caused fire starts,” wrote the Northwest Interagency Coordination Center.
