North Korean hackers have been accused of stealing billions of dollars by infiltrating cryptocurrency exchanges. According to the International Report on North Korean Cyber Capabilities, these hackers have also created fake identities to secure remote tech jobs at foreign companies.

The report highlights that North Korea has utilized cryptocurrency to launder money and make military purchases. These activities are reportedly an effort to evade international sanctions related to its nuclear program.

The review was published by a group that includes 10 US allies, showcasing the global impact of North Korea’s cyber activities. These findings emphasize the ongoing threat posed by North Korean cyber operations.
