COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – A North Idaho man charged with lewd conduct with a minor was brought back to Latah County from Eastern Europe on Monday, according to a press release from the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS).
Rody Wilcox, 50, was found and arrested in the country of Georgia in August 2024 after an extensive search involving multiple law enforcement agencies.
Wilcox was originally arrested in Salmon, Idaho on Dec. 6, 2023, however would post bond in January 2024 while awaiting trial. He later skipped a motion hearing, resulting in an arrest warrant being issued on July 17, 2024.
Investigators would later find that he had fled the country earlier in July. He was arrested by Georgian authorities a month later.
USMS then worked with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of International Affairs to bring Wilcox back to Idaho.
