SPOKANE, Wash. – In collaboration with The Salvation Army Spokane, Nomnom Convenience Store is raising funds for “Backpacks for Kids,” which will benefit 4,000 local students, from grades K-12, with free backpacks and school supplies.
Funds will be collected from May 23 until July 31 at local Nomnom locations. Customers of Nomnom and the general public can donate through the pin pad device during checkout, or by adding their name to a special flyer that will be displayed in the stores.
Over the past 15 years, Nomnom has raised more than $600,000 for “Backpacks for Kids.”
“I think it’s amazing what Nomnom does to help The Salvation Army and the community in general! It is because of strong partnerships with community minded businesses like Nomnom’s that we are able to make Spokane better for all,” said Captain David Cain of the Salvation Army Spokane Citadel Corps.
The 16th annual “Backpacks for Kids” free event, featuring local vendors, will be held on August 13 at the 222 East Indiana Avenue Salvation Army location in Spokane.
Donations can be made to the “Backpacks for Kids” campaign at any of the following Nomnom stores.
