
SPOKANE, Wash. – Drivers who take I-90 between Spokane and Spokane Valley should be aware of closures between Hamilton and Sprague interchanges from November 9 to November 12, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The four days of closures will happen between 7 p.m and 5:30 a.m. starting on November 9 and at 7 p.m. and ending on November 12 at 5:30 a.m.
The closures will affect only one lane at a time, starting with eastbound I-90 between Hamilton Street at milepost 282 and Appleway/Sprague Avenue at milepost 285.
After the single-lane closures allow crews to inspect each lane of eastbound I-90, the closures will move to westbound I-90 and do the same thing.
The closures are due to stormwater infrastructure inspection for the planned . Inspections will be handled by crews from the Washington State Department of Transportation.
During the closures, the North Spokane Corridor design team and region hydraulics engineers will inspect around 200 inlets as a part of a drainage assessment, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
