SPOKANE, Wash. – Travelers on Newport Highway (U.S. 2) in Spokane are experiencing lane reductions due to repairs on an underground water main.
The road has been reduced to one lane in each direction, causing significant impacts, especially for southbound travelers during the morning commute.
The city has recommended using North Division or North Nevada Street as alternative routes to avoid delays.
The repair work is expected to be completed by mid-day Friday.
