NEWPORT, Wash. – Newport Community Hospital is set to install five electric vehicle chargers as part of a parking lot expansion, all made possible by a grant from the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
The hospital was approached by WSDOT in 2024 to be a part of a statewide EV charging project along State Route 20.
Newport Community Hospital said they are the only hospital in the state to participate in the grant program.
