WASHINGTON – Starting October 1, Washington residents using Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits can take advantage of the SNAP Produce Match.

The program offers a $5 coupon or discount when purchasing at least $10 of fresh, frozen or canned fruits and vegetables with an EBT card at participating retailers.

Participating stores offer either a coupon or a discount. For example, Albertsons and Amazon Fresh provide coupons, while stores like Chimacum Corner Farm Stand and Community Food Co-op offer discounts.

Residents can also use SNAP Produce Match online with Amazon Fresh and Safeway.com.

After purchasing the required amount of produce, a coupon will be added to their account for future use.

For more information on participating stores or to learn how to use the coupons online, individuals can visit the Washington State Department of Health website.
