SPOKANE, Wash. – New footage has been released showing the moments leading up to the May 15 incident, when a car crashed into the main entrance of River Park Square in downtown Spokane.
The footage reveals the driver attempting to avoid a person crossing the street on a scooter while making a left turn. This maneuver led to the car crashing into a parked vehicle before ultimately hitting the mall.
The impact caused extensive damage as the car smashed through the doors of the shopping center.
Spokane police stated that the driver was running late and showed no signs of impairment. The driver received a ticket for reckless driving.
