Sarah Clasen’s attorney Scott Johnson responded to NonStop Local’s request for comment about the stricken trail date.

“As evidenced by the months it took the State to complete its investigation, this is a highly complex case. The defense did not receive any discovery until September and has still not received all discovery. The defense continues to work with its experts to analyze the discovery currently available while awaiting the remaining evidence,” Johnson wrote.

Johnson later said he would not do on-air interviews on the case “at this time.”
