CHELAN COUNTY, Wash. – Neighbors have shared new insights regarding the Chelan County father accused of killing his three young daughters.
Travis Decker, described as an enthusiastic “girl dad,” often took his daughters on camping trips, according to a neighbor who spoke to People Magazine.
The neighbor recalled seeing Decker pick up his daughters, Peyton, Olivia and Evelyn, on May 30. That was the last day the girls were seen alive.
During a 10-minute conversation that day, the neighbor noted that Decker seemed sad and distracted.
Investigators have accused Decker of killing the girls and leaving their bodies near a Leavenworth campground.
Experts believe Decker might be hiding in the woods in Kittitas County, though they have also prepared for a recovery mission in case he died somewhere within the terrain.
