Movie theaters across the U.S. and Canada experienced a small but noteworthy increase in ticket sales in 2025.
According to a new Comscore data report, ticket sales rose two percent year over year, reaching nearly $9 billion in sales.
This growth occurred despite prolonged periods of empty seats and several wide releases that did not attract large audiences.
