Mount Spokane opened its slopes to eager skiers and snowboarders, enjoying blue skies and sunshine for the second full day.
“We had a great turnout! People were excited and stoked as most people have hear, you know the ski season statewide got off to a really slow start. We’re all kind of opening as terrain becomes available and we have safe skiing conditions. We’re in a good spot. We did a lot of prep work in the summer and early fall to be ready to go and so here we are – ready to ski,” said General Manager Jim van Loben Sels.
Currently open are the Magic Carpet, Beginner’s Luck, Parkway Express, Illuminator and the Half Hitch Handle Tow.
Tubing is available daily through the holiday season but will switch to weekends only after Sunday, January 4.
Night skiing will commence once there’s around 18 inches of snow at the summit.
