SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Nordic Ski Association has announced an opportunity for community involvement in shaping the future of Mount Spokane State Park. The Washington State Parks department has released the Mount Spokane Master Plan Alternatives Report, which presents two visions for the park: “Community Mountain” and “Recreation Destination.”
Residents are encouraged to review the report and share their feedback through an online comment form by July 14, 2025. The feedback will help develop a preferred alternative that will guide the park’s future development.
Paul and Melinda, co-leads for the Mount Spokane State Park Master Plan Project, emphasized the importance of community input. “We invite comments about the themes themselves, as well as the various projects and features that are most desirable and/or consistent with the vision you see for the park,” they stated.
A Community Open House is scheduled for June 24 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Argonne Library in Spokane. The event will offer an opportunity for attendees to provide feedback and workshop ideas with staff.
