Motive unclear in deadly shooting, Spokane police seek public’s help in finding suspect

Spokane Police shared an update on the early morning shooting near 600 South McClellan where officers found a man dead inside a car.

According to initial reports, an unknown suspect approached the vehicle and fired at the victim. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.

Detectives with the Spokane Police Department Major Crimes Unit are investigating the motive behind the shooting.

Authorities urge anyone with information about the incident to contact Crime Check at 509-456-2233.

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Police Department is asking for anyone with information or camera footage to come forward after a deadly shooting early Sunday morning.

According to an SPD spokesperson, the shooting happened in the 600 block of South McClellan Street.

Police said one person was shot and killed and they are still searching for a suspect. Anyone with information or video footage is asked to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233 and reference incident number 2025-20210586.
