Moses Lake man fires a gun into the air and barricades himself in his home

MOSES LAKE, Wash. – Moses Lake police negotiated with a 42-year-old who shot a gun into the air and barricaded himself into his house.

The Moses Lake Police Department shared details of the incident on Friday and said it occurred on Thursday.

Police were dispatched near Grape Drive and Highway 17, where the gunshot was reported. They arrived and learned that a man shot his gun in the air after arguing with his neighbor.

The man who shot the gun barricaded himself in and did not come out when police asked him to.

The Moses Lake Tactical Response Team responded to the scene after police negotiated for two hours.

The team took the suspect into custody and booked him into jail on charges of reckless endangerment, discharging a firearm and resisting arrest.

No injuries were reported.
