MOSES LAKE, Wash. – Moses Lake Police and federal authorities executed a high-risk narcotics search warrant in the 1800 block of W. Lakeside Dr. on July 8, investigators said in a release.

The warrant was part of an investigation into alleged methamphetamine sales from a shed on the property.

Investigators said the suspect attempted to flee from the shed, but was taken into custody by surrounding officers.

During the search, detectives found approximately eight ounces of methamphetamine, as well as small quantities of psilocybin mushrooms and LSD, the release said.

Additionally, detectives said they recovered five firearms, one of which had been confirmed stolen in 2014.

Police also said the suspect frequently traded illegal narcotics for property stolen by homeless individuals from local businesses.

The suspect was released pending a review by the United States Attorney’s Office, the release added.

Nonstop Local typically does not name suspects until they are formally charged.
