SPOKANE, Wash. – NonStop Local’s Molly Allen joined the broadcast to share some family-friendly Halloween movie recommendations.
Allen, dressed in a costume inspired by the movie “Top Gun,” expressed her love for Halloween. “I love Halloween. I love anything to do with airplanes,” she said.
One of the movies Allen highlighted was the live-action “Scooby-Doo,” written by James Gunn, known for big-budget superhero films like “Superman” and “Guardians of the Galaxy.” Allen remarked on the film’s ability to bring spooky vibes without being too scary. “We love that,” she said, noting it’s perfect for families.
Allen also shared her plans for Halloween night, which include hosting a gathering with plenty of pizza for trick-or-treaters. “I’m going to get my Papa Murphy’s. You gotta get your pumpkin pizza, of course,” she said.
Another film recommendation from Allen was the Disney Channel original movie “Halloween Town.” She mentioned that the cast of “Halloween Town” is featured in a new Hallmark movie titled “Haul Out the Halloween,” which includes her mother, Ellen Travolta. “It’s really sweet and that’s on the Hallmark Channel,” Allen said.
Allen reminisced about her childhood favorite, recalling scenes with a skeleton taxi driver. She also mentioned “Scary Godmother: Halloween Spooktacular,” a film from the early 2000s about a young girl’s first trick-or-treating adventure.
