WASHINGTON – Tina Marie Acklin was arrested after the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and People’s Task Force (MMIWP) found new evidence for a nine-year-old cold case.
Acklin is accused of killing a man in Western Washington back in 2016 after detectives from the task force found new information that led to their arrest.
This is MMIWP’s first murder case brought to court after its creation by the Washington legislature in 2021.
