Missing and endangered: 33-year-old man last seen in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. – Washington State Patrol is looking for a 33-year-old man last seen in Spokane. He may be in a state of crisis and is considered endangered and missing.

His name is Paxson Matthews. Spokane Police Department says that Matthews was last seen on September 12 near 700 North Division and that he frequents the South Hill and Gonzaga areas.

They also say that Matthews is five feet and ten inches tall and weighs 125 pounds. They also said that he also has a full beard and a large zig-zag shaped scar from ear to ear.

Washington State Patrol reported different measurements and said that Matthews is five feet and seven inches tall and weighs 90 pounds.

Both agencies say that he has brown hair and blue eyes and is likely wearing a brown fanny pack across his chest, a baseball or stocking cap, black shoes and black pants.

He has limited mobility and is legally blind and deaf.

Washington State Patrol said he may be unable to return without assistance.

If you see Matthews, Washington State Patrol says to call 9-1-1. Spokane Police Department also asked that people call 509-456-2233 if you have information on his whereabouts.
