The crash that killed Trooper Tara-Marysa Guting happened Friday evening on Highway 509.
On Sunday, the patrol shared on X that Guting’s patrol car was displayed in front of the Tacoma office where they encouraged people to leave notes and flowers.
Washington State Patrol said Guting began her career as a trooper in January 2024.
