TACOMA, Wash. – The Washington State Patrol (WSP) hosted memorial services on Saturday for Trooper Tara-Marysa Guting, who was killed in the line of duty on December 19.

Chris Loftis, WSP Director of Public Affairs, expressed gratitude to the community for their support following Guting’s death.

“Today, we as an agency and first responders at large, surrounded Trooper Guting’s family and remembered a wonderful friend, colleague, and true embodiment of our agency’s motto, ‘Service with Humility,’” Loftis said.
