MEDICAL LAKE, Wash. – Homeowners affected by the destructive Medical Lake fires in August 2023 attended a meeting to learn about recovery efforts and available financial assistance.
The Spokane Region Long Term Recovery Group hosted the meeting, offering both in-person and online participation options. Organizers discussed a $44 million HUD grant designated for the area.
They explained the need to gather more information and draft an action plan to utilize the funds effectively. Attendees were also given an opportunity to ask questions about water quality following the fires.
