The Deputy of the Spokane County Prosecuting Attorney, Jonathan M. Degen, has moved for the court to dismiss the charges against Quentin Hutchison, including second-degree murder and drive by shooting.
According to court documents, Degen stated that, after investigation, new details have emerged which support the theory of self defense in favor of Hutchison.
Some of the new details mentioned in court documents reportedly came from a follow-up interview by detectives with a witness present at the scene of the incident.

SPOKANE, Wash. – Quentin Hutchison, 18, pleaded not guilty to charges in Spokane Superior Court today in connection with a shooting at the Maverik gas station on North Division.
According to court documents, Hutchinson shot two men April 25 after they suggested he was involved with a rival gang. The shooting was captured on security video.
One person was killed, the other injured.
Hutchison is scheduled for trial August 4 on charges of second-degree murder and drive-by shooting.
