SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – Spokane Valley Police arrested a man in connection with a domestic violence call and reported stolen bicycle.

Investigators said in a release that officers located the suspect on July 28 riding a bicycle, which was reported stolen in June, and arrested him on charges of Felony Harassment-Threats to Kill related to a prior incident on July 24.

According to the release, the suspect threatened to kill the victim by burning down their home. He claimed the threat was a joke and denied tampering with a camera on the property, the release said.

Investigators said the suspect told them he bought the bike, valued at $1,500, for $100 on Facebook Marketplace, but that he could not provide proof of purchase.

The suspect was booked into Spokane County Jail on multiple charges, including felony harassment and possession of stolen property. They also served him with a Domestic Violence Protection Order.

Nonstop Local typically does not name suspects until they are formally charged.
