QUINCY, Wash. – The Grant County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a house fire that occurred overnight near Quincy, resulting in the death of a 72-year-old man.
Grant County Fire District #3 responded to the blaze around 11 p.m. on Sunday near the 17000 block of Road 5-Northwest.
The home was fully engulfed in flames when first responders arrived. After extinguishing the fire, firefighters found the body of Darrwin L. Kunish in a bedroom.
The coroner’s office will conduct an autopsy on Kunish’s remains and the Grant County Sheriff’s Office said the family has been notified.
