MOSES LAKE, Wash. – One man died after losing control of his car and crashing it into a utility pole northeast of Moses Lake in the morning on August 5, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.

24-year-old Jorge Martinez Reyes was driving a 2005 Hyundai Sonata north in the 3,000 block of Road S-Northeast when he lost control on the gravel roadway. He struck a utility pole and died at the scene.

Martinez Reyes’ remains were taken to Coroner Craig Morrison, who is caring for them.

His family was notified of his death.

Grant County Sheriff’s Office said investigators say that the collision was due to driving too fast for conditions.
