Man arrested outside Wilbur following high-speed police chase and violating no contact order

WILBUR, Wash. – A 51-year-old man was arrested on Govan Road west of Wilbur on Tuesday afternoon after eluding police in a high-speed chase and allegedly violating a no contact order.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, a citizen initially called 911 to report a violation of a no contact order involving a husband and wife. The order was taken against the man, who had reportedly left the residence at the time of the call.

Dispatch was advised at around 1:59 p.m. that the man had returned to the residence, and then left again.

Police stopped the man in his car in Wilbur, who initially complied, but sped off when he was informed he was under arrest, LCSO said.

LCSO said the man headed westbound out of Wilbur at speeds up to 126 miles per hour.

He stopped the car on Govan Road where he was arrested for multiple charges including attempting to elude a police vehicle and violating a no contact order.
