Man arrested in Grant County for driving his car into a crowd of people

DESERT AIRE, Wash. – A 19-year-old man was arrested on Saturday night after allegedly driving his car into a crowd of people outside of a party.

According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, “a disturbance broke out at a house party” on Desert Aire Drive Southwest at around 11:15 p.m. The 19-year-old then got into his car and hit a person standing amongst a group of people in the driveway of the house.

The man left the scene, but was found by deputies in his parked car at the intersection of Oasis Place Southwest and Desert Aire Drive Southwest.

GCSO said he was arrested without further incident on charges of vehicular assault, DUI and hit and run.

The person hit by the car refused medical care, according to GCSO. Their injuries were not specified.
