Man arrested in Grand Coulee for growing marijuana without a license and allegedly offering it to minors

GRAND COULEE, Wash. – A man was arrested in Grand Coulee on February 11 for growing marijuana on his property without a license and allegedly offering it to teenagers.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release that they were contacted by another homeowner in the area who said they believed the man was growing marijuana and had “made attempts to provide marijuana to their teenage child.” DCSO said throughout the investigation, deputies learned of up to four teenagers that had been offered cannabis.

DCSO executed a search warrant on the 51-year-old man’s home on February 11. Evidence related to the “marijuana grow operation” as DCSO referred to it was seized, and the man was placed under arrest without incident.

The man was booked on two counts of distribution to persons under age 18, specifically, manufacture, deliver or intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance and cannabis manufacture sale, distribution without a license.
