
SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Police Department (SPD) arrested a 45-year-old man on November 7 in connection with multiple armed robberies in the area.
The first incident took place on November 3, around 10 a.m., when SPD officers responded to a reported armed robbery at a local marijuana retail store in the 1500 block of South Lewis Street. According to an employee at the location, a male wearing a halloween mask and armed with a shotgun had stolen cash from the store’s register. Authorities gained access to surveillance video of the robbery which captured a potential suspect vehicle.
After further investigation, and assistance from law enforcement partners with the Spokane and Kalispel Tribes, SPD investigators identified a possible suspect.
Another armed robbery took place on November 7, around 11:30 a.m., at a gaming store in the 400 block of East Holland Avenue. According to SPD officials, video evidence from the gaming store captured a male suspect wearing a similar Halloween mask and clothing, armed with a similar weapon, stealing cash from the store’s register.
Later in the evening of November 7, SPD patrol officers and detectives, working with the Special Investigations Unit and Major Crimes Unit, managed to locate the 45-year-old suspect in the 2900 block of East Broad Avenue. After the suspect was safely taken into custody, law enforcement recovered evidence of the crimes at the location.
The suspect was booked into the Spokane County Jail on two felony robbery charges, where he is being held on a $50,000 bond.
