SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – The 21-year-old man accused of shooting and killing a man near the Amazon fulfilment facility along I-90 is making his first appearance in court on Thursday.
Court documents detailing witness testimonies say William Baldwin allegedly shot and killed Hasani Vita on April 21 in front of the facility.
Witnesses reported seeing Baldwin, Vita and another man get into an argument near the facility before Baldwin allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Vita multiple times.
Immediately following the shooting, all three men ran away, though Vita ended up collapsing in the street. He died despite deputy attempts to resuscitate.
Baldwin was arrested over a week later on April 29 in North Spokane on a charge of second-degree murder with bond set at $1 million.
