MILLWOOD, Wash. – Major changes are coming to Argonne Road, one of Spokane County’s busiest roads, starting Monday, June 9.
A significant construction project will begin through the town of Millwood, aimed at providing long-term relief to the area.
The $6 million project will widen the roadway and add turn pockets near Frederick and Liberty.
Restoration work will also take place between Trent and Frederick.
The multiphase project targets the increasing traffic congestion due to rapid housing growth in recent years.
Argonne Road serves as a vital connector between Trent and Bigelow Gulch Road.
City leaders acknowledge that this construction may cause short-term headaches for drivers, but they emphasize the project’s long-term benefits.
The project is expected to be completed by September.
