LAPWAI, Idaho – Nez Perce Tribal Police and Nez Perce County Deputies have confirmed a body found in a vehicle on Wild Rose Gr. in Lapwai May 19 is that of Louie Harris.
Investigators in a release said the vehicle that went over an embankment and crashed matched the description of one driven by Harris.
Upon arrival, law enforcement found Harris deceased in the vehicle. His family has been informed of his passing, the release said.
Prior to the crash, the police had sought the community’s assistance in locating Harris, who was last seen on May 17, 2025, in Lewiston, Idaho.
