SPOKANE, Wash. – Locust Cider, a Washington-based cider and beverage company, announced the closure of four out of its six taprooms, including the one in downtown Spokane.

In addition to the Spokane location, taprooms in Woodinville and Seattle are also set to close. The company cited rising operational costs as the reason for the closures.

Locust Cider expressed their gratitude towards their taproom teams and customers over the years.

“We are incredibly proud of our taproom teams, both past and present, and deeply grateful to everyone who has visited, supported us… and shared a pint with us over the last 10 years,” the company said.

Plans to expand the availability of their ciders through restaurants, bars and grocery stores were announced as the next steps for the company.

The taprooms in Gig Harbor and Fort Collins will remain open.
