Liberty Lake man arrested for firing gun in his yard

LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. – The Liberty Lake Police Department (LLPD) arrested a local man after he discharged a firearm in his yard on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. Officers responded to the incident at North Aladdin Road and East Mission Avenue around 12:48 p.m., according to LLPD.

Upon their arrival, officers, with help from Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies, established a perimeter around the area and ordered the man to exit his home.

The suspect emerged with a pistol in hand but complied with officers’ commands to set down the weapon. He was detained without further incident.

Despite being a convicted felon prohibited from possessing firearms, the suspect was found with a black semi-automatic pistol and a single expended shell casing outside his residence. A subsequent search of his home, conducted under a warrant, revealed no additional firearms.

The man was taken into custody and booked at Spokane County Jail. He faces charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Aiming or Discharging Firearms/Dangerous Weapons, and Reckless Endangerment.
