CLARKSTON, Wash. – A Lewiston man was found after a motorcycle crash early Saturday morning in Clarkston. According to a press release, Asotin County Fire District #1 rescue crews responded to the scene along Fleshman Way just after 7 a.m.
Fire District personnel and Lewiston medics discovered the motorcycle and its rider in the parking lot of a boat repair shop off 16th Avenue.
Initial reports indicate that the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Fleshman Way when it left the roadway during the night, cleared a six-foot chain-link fence and came to rest in the parking lot.
The rider remained there for several hours before being spotted by passersby shortly after daylight. He was transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The Asotin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident. Preliminary findings suggest that speed may have been a contributing factor. No other injuries were reported, though one vehicle in the parking lot sustained minor damage.
