Level 3 evacuations issued for brush fire near Riverside State Park in Spokane

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — Level 3 (Go Now) evacuations have been issued for a brush fire burning near Riverside State Park in Spokane.

According to the Washington Department of Natural Resources, the fire is estimated at 5 to 10 acres. Both air and ground crews are actively attacking the blaze.

Level 3 evacuation orders are in effect for Indian Bluff Road, West Rim Lane, Equestrian Lane, and areas of Riverside State Park in the immediate vicinity.

Level 3 means “Go Now.” Residents are in immediate danger. Even if the threat isn’t visible, authorities urge people to follow their evacuation plans and leave without delay. Staying could put lives at risk, and rescue efforts may not be possible.
