SPOKANE, Wash. – The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) reported a 2.5-acre brush fire burning near 3400 North Equestrian Lane on Monday evening.
A Level 2, “get SET to leave,” evacuation order has been issued near the horse arena and RV area at the Riverside State Park Equestrian area. Residents living in this area must be prepared to evacuate on short notice.
Crews from the DNR and Spokane County Fire District 10 are on scene, working to create better access to the fire for ground crews. Meanwhile, a DNR helicopter is dropping water on the flames.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, according to the DNR.
