LEAVENWORTH, Wash. – Chelan County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a serious threat reported on September 12, 2025.

The incident involved a Leavenworth resident receiving threats via social media about their children being harmed at school, according to the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office.

The threats began after the reporting party commented on a social media post by the suspect, who was celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

The suspect, identified as 40-year-old Casey A. Garrison from Wenatchee, made alarming comments, including, “You’re right, the next time your kids go to school, I will make sure they die of gun shooting. Good riddance.”

Additional threatening statements included, “Death will always find you, there is going to be another,” and references to making victims feel pain similar to Matthew Shepard, a historical figure associated with a hate crime.

Authorities took these threats seriously and quickly notified local schools and law enforcement agencies. Investigators identified Garrison’s residence in the 300 block of Palouse St in Wenatchee.
