
NAMPA, Idaho — The Lakeside Knights boys basketball team captured the Idaho Class 2A State championship.
In the title game, Lakeside faced the top-seeded Kendrick Tigers, the Knights relied on a tough defense and efficient scoring.
Lakeside’s offense was led by Hallah Peone and Tyson Charley. Peone finished with 18 points and Charley recorded a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
With the championship victory over Kendrick, the Knights completed a dominant state tournament and cemented their place as the top team in Idaho’s 2A classification.
