KOOTENAI, Idaho – A team of Kootenai firefighters have been deployed to the France Canyon Fire in Southern Utah. The Dixie National Forest reported that there are 821 personnel fighting the 32,053-acre-large fire and it is only 15% contained.
The Kootenai County Fire and Rescue team posted, celebrating the team they sent to the Utah fire and wrote that after a long day of travel, the team is at work on the fire line, joining forces with crews across the region.
“We’re proud of their dedication and commitment to protecting communities near and far. Stay safe out there!” they wrote.
