
ASOTIN, Wash. – Sheriff’s deputies are searching for 13-year-old Kainoa I. Szakacs, who escaped custody at the Asotin County Courthouse on September 8 around 2:30 p.m.
Kainoa was last seen near Asotin City Park. He fled on foot across Asotin Creek, through private yards, and evaded capture despite a search effort involving the Clarkston Police Department and drone support, the Asotin County Sheriff’s Office said in a release.
Kainoa is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, 175 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes and facial hair. He has tattoos on both arms and hands and appears older than his age. He was born on October 18, 2011.
Authorities warn that Kainoa has a history of stealing vehicles and driving at high speeds to evade law enforcement. An active warrant is out for his arrest.
